That’s a picture of my desk after last night’s election coverage. A mess. Sort of like the past 10 months. It’s been a long campaign and one of the most bitterly fought and negative mayor’s race in Tulsa’s history. Certainly the most expensive. Incumbent Dewey Bartlett spent nearly a million dollars. His opponent clearly topped that. Former mayor Kathy Taylor spent $3.3 million. Most everyone thought it would be closer than it… Read More

It’s Election day. Finally! We’ve endured a year and a half of promises by the politicians, billions raised and spent to promote the candidates and issues on all the ballots, and the dramatic (and sometimes boring) debates. And now all that’s left is the voting.  Unless you voted early either in-person or absentee (which I did for the first time). Who will it be first this week? Romney? Santorum? Perry? Gingrich? Paul? No, not who’ll be on top following Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary or  after South Carolina’s vote. But which GOP candidate will be the first to mention the name of someone who’s getting as much, or more, attention  tonight than all of them combined… Tim Tebow? It’s Tebow Time again. I just got through watching the Denver Broncos’ Tim Tebow toss an… Read More

Could we be looking at the latest and greatest device? Dueling announcements It was high noon… politics and technology were dueling for my attention. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was holding a news… Read More

President Obama’s State of the Union address is tonight. The Oscar nominations were announced this morning. The Academy Awards won’t be handed out until next month, but if the two were going head-to-head  on TV, which would you watch? Take my very unofficial and extremely unscientific poll:
