Steve Jobs: iRIP

Apple co-founder Steve Jobs died today after a long battle with cancer.

I never met the man, but I’ve spent a lot of money on the innovations of this modern-day Thomas Edison. His iPhones, iPads, iPods, iMacs, MacBooks, and who knows what else, have cost me thousands of dollars. And they’ve been worth every penny. Why? For at least a couple of reasons: they work (without the usual techno headaches), and they’re fun.

Most Apple fanatics can’t wait to get their paws on the next product. His death comes just one day after Apple announced its latest got-to-have device … the iPhone 4S.

Apple says it has lost “a visionary and creative genius and the world has lost an amazing human being.”

Steve Jobs was 56.
