Freebies For Kids

Tax Day is behind us. You may have sent Uncle Sam a check, and now need to give your budget a break. I love to find stuff that’s free. We certainly pay enough on most things. And parents can always use a break, because kids aren’t cheap.

Here are a few websites I’ve come across to help out. At kidsmealdeals.com type in your zip, and day of the week, and you’ll find restaurants offering freebies in your area. Similar for mykidseatfree.com, where more than 5000 restaurants have kid’s nights with reduced or free meals.  It’s always a good idea to call the restaurant first to make sure they’re still participating.

Parents know that video games can be expensive. So check out kongregate.com, with more than 27,000 free online and downloadable games to play.

And next Wednesday night, April 28th, 31 Cent Scoop Night is back at Baskin-Robbins (limit of three 2.5 oz scoops per person). Cheap, delicious and for a good cause. BR will be donating $100,000 to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Should be busy though. I called my local BR, and the girl who answered said she’s glad she won’t be working that night.  We’ll all be screaming for ice cream!
