Last month’s blistering temperatures made history. July was the hottest month ever recorded in this country (at least since 1895 when record keeping began) … not including Hawaii and Alaska. It was more than three degrees warmer than the average.
This follows a record-breaking July last year when Oklahoma was the warmest month ever … for any state! The average temperature (highs and lows combined) was 89 degrees during July 2011.
